In the context of this discussion the word, identical holds a specific meaning. It is a cloud to this discussion to broaden the term identical to include a non-medical context.

The medical definition for identical twins involves twins derived from the same fertilized ovum, having the same DNA, but are separate individuals. They can have and do have separate fingerprints, and still satisfy the medical definition for identical.

I suspect you already knew this.
