Add to that that Adolf (born 1889) was 14 years old when his father Alois (died 1903) died. Per wikipedia, by 1905 he was living on his own in Vienna. (This matches up with what I can remember from Hitler’s early life in Toland and Waite.) He was young but independence at that age was pretty common in earlier decades. So while it is true he was still a minor when his mother was widowed, to say Adolf Hitler was “reared in a single parent household” seems a wee bit of a stretch to me. (And IIRC, Toland said it was HIGHLY unusual for a ‘nobody’ like Hitler to get the Iron Cross (3rd class : He claims that sort of commendation was unofficially reserved for those born in higher social classes. IOW, Hitler’s heroism was real-he was a dispatch runner and that was a very risky duty. BTW, it was a Jewish officer who nominated Hitler for that award-again , Toland.)
No one needs to exaggerate Obama to defeat him. I think one could give Obama a huge dent simply by plastering his statements about how we need to eat less and drive less, because that's somehow taking from foreign countries. Then you could go into Obama's books that he recorded and completely shred the guy in his own words, in his own voice. Hugh Hewitt has done some of this.
Then you can take Obama's recent speech to La Raza and comments on how we all should speak Spanish.
Obama's a gift that keeps on giving, but he's not facing a political party, but a Senior Citizens Club.
