When you dont have the facts, argue the law.

When you dont have the law, throw those ad hominem.

Isn’t Obama laden with a ‘formal education in constitutional law’, too?

My post contains no ad hominem, my FRiend. If you haven't done so, I suggest you carefully read the Goodridge decision to fully understand the consequences of the Mass. Supreme Court's decision. Here is the link to the decision. http://masscases.com/cases/sjc/440/440mass309.html

It is noteworthy that in this 4-3 decision, all three dissenting justices issued separate opinions. None of them claim the majority had no authority to render its decision or that it can be disregarded by the executive or legislative branches. The plain language of the decision states it becomes effective in 180 days to allow the legislature to take whatever action it deems appropriate in light of the court's decision.

FRiend, we both agree the decision was an improper activist one, we just disagree that the executive branch can choose to disregard the decision.

FRegards
