Bless his heart, I hope he does. As you’ve put it, it’s probably going to be bleak regardless come next January.

Thanks. I stand on what I said. Feel free to do your own research.

Too bad you miss my point by a mile and bash fellow conservatives for daring to having a different view of an excellent candidate ... Jesus wept, are you that stubborn and hard-headed? NR is more genuinely and positively conservative than you are. You are all emotion and no logic, which is hardly a conservative attribute.

I haven't tried to paint all opposition in any light. Romney is no conservative flag-bearer nor do I claim him to be one. No one opposes meaningful discussion about concerns over Romney.

Any serious discussion is drowned out by the wacky claims. I've merely pointed out that several posts in just this one thread make baseless, false claims against Romney of paying off respected conservative commentators to support him and accusing conservative politicians such as Tancredo of being paid off and a “Judas.”

They ain’t gonna do squat. Low priority. I already told his girlfriend (technically the owner of the house) that they’d better get control of the situation, or we’ll sue them for every cent they’re being paid by their “tenants.”

“Earlier the claim was made that everyone who supports Romney has been paid off.

They even tried to say Rush Limbaugh (who is now making 400 million dollars) was paid off LOL”

Morons like this give political extremists a bad name!

No point to miss, you post old-hat debunked nonsense regarding your candidate. We went over it EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. back months ago. It’s like Dracula rising from the coffin. Gotta keep driving stake after stake into its cold, dead liberal heart. I’ll keep confronting you guys with facts and truth as long as you keep posting the falsehoods and the “MYTHS” about Slick Willard. :-)

Just a guess, but I imagine they have access to more data on Romney than you may have. I suspect also they have A LOT more access to people who have known him, worked w/ him, & vetted him for years.

All of those mentioned have had personal conversations w/ Mitt & may have a better feel for what's in his head & what his real thoughts are, vs. what you may FEEL what his true intentions & thoughts are, based on articles you find on the web.

Again, I'm just guessing here. Maybe you do have more info than these folks do & what you've portrayed here. Maybe you've talked w/ those close to Mitt to know what his real thoughts are. Maybe you've talked to Mitt himself as these bedrock conservatives have. If so, I respect your opinion perhaps a little more. If not, I'll take the word of those fighting our cause on a daily basis, & not impugn their integrity while doing it.

It was initially directed in general at the Mitt supporters, not necessarily you...

Yes, some claims are a bit much and distract from real issues with Romney, which are sufficient enough to stand on their own merit.

No false claims here. Just the facts. Go look up the discussions from the time of the “endorsement”, it’s all there. I’m not doing the research for you.

“Yes, and that well maybe true, but what does that say? “

It tells us this:

THE GOOD IS THE ENEMY OF THE BEST.

Being so perfectionistic, you criticize the 80% friends and end up helping to elect your 90% enemy (Obama) does you no good.

We saw that in the primary.

Thompson wasnt good enough for some purists, so he didnt gel.

Then it was down to Huck, McCain and Mitt. All the anti-mormons, Mitt-bashers and the rest had a field day destroying Mitt’s chances to unify the conservative.s He failed. Great, what did it give us? the RINO maverick McCain, who has only one attribute better than Romney and that is that he is apparently the most electable candidate this cycle.

Now, McCain is miles better than Obama but we still have some bitter-enders bashing mcCain and wishing for obama to sweep things clean.... With this kind of thinking we could end up in a stalinist state before the perfectionists decide to accept something less than perfect to hold back the tide.

“As it stands he has merits verses McCain.” He has merits versus what it takes to be better than Democrats. “ But where does that really leave Conservatives. Are we now ahead of the game?”
It’s not a game, its our country, and McCain/Romney would be better for our country than whatever the Democrats will throw up.

Some of us have known him for quite awhile, actually. We know the difference between the “Myth” and the reality, between the talking points and the record. His bots don’t like that.

And I helped lead the charge. I'd do it again, a thousand times over to stop that liberal fraud from becoming President under our party banner.

3,000 is a drop in the bucket. There has got to be well over 100,000 illegals in Davidson County alone.

I’m sorry. Claiming Tancredo was bribed to support Romney is a very serious charge. The one making the assertion that Tancredo was bribed bears the burden of proof to support such claim with credible documentation. When you can’t provide any credible documentation, you don’t get to divert attention to your lack of proof by telling a person to do his or her own research.
