I guess you could tell them to stick it where the sun don’t shine, but then that wouldn’t be shocking to them, would it?
To: Man50D
Doesn’t this violate “separation of church and state”? That’s been used to keep religion totally out of government, even the mere mention of God. So it should work the other way around - keep government out of religion.

San Fran isn't an American city. It is a perpetual freak show.

A priest friend of my parents went on a trip to San Francisco a number of years ago. His only comment after his return was, “God owes Sodom and Gomorrah an apology.”

Wonder what theyll have to say at the Judgement? "Is it hot in here, or is it just me?"

How much longer until they rename the city? My vote is for "GRIDStown."

The push of homosexuality in schools and in society in general has nothing to do with defending homosexuals. It is one of many tactics employed by socialists to destroy our Represenatative Democracy and replace it with socialism. You will find the following article to be enlightening.

I’m not a Catholic, but I find this hate and bigotry coming from San Francisco unacceptable. A once fine city has now entered my “do not visit - ever - again” list until they can purge the idiots running the show over there. And apologize.

What a shame. SF is such a pretty city; great weather, great restaurants...but FILLED with people who have no self control and no morals.

A San Francisco city and county board resolution that officially labeled the Catholic church's moral teachings on homosexuality as "insulting to all San Franciscans," "hateful," "defamatory," "insensitive" and "ignorant" will be challenged tomorrow in court for violating the Constitution's prohibition of government hostility toward religion.*******************
Let us pray that cooler, more intelligent heads prevail.

Too funny. "Seldom been encountered by this Board" in reference to centuries millenia of teaching in place before any of them were born. Yes, too funny.

What would happen if the Catholic Church put an interdict on the city and refused to allow any Catholic sacraments to be performed inside it. No Masses said, no confessions, no baptisms or funerals....That would be the traditional and commensurate response, but I doubt if the Catholic Church (even under BXVI) has that kind of moral backbone any longer. Certainly the American episcopate would faint dead away if Rome were to suggest something like this.

“Major U.S. city officially condemns Catholic Church”
Why was it, when I read the title before even clicking to see _where_ the city was, I thought to myself, “sounds like San Francisco....”?

And it is such a shame because I would love to see SF. Not going to happen other than in pictures. That's the real shame of it all...aside from the earthquakes, it's a really beautiful, from a geographic and a scenic point of view. Idiots, however, have obviously permeated all forms of their government.
