Democrats See a Need for Further Economic Stimulus

And just how are they gonna PAY for this?

(I can't wait until they get their greedy mitts on everyone's personal healthcare...)

Well, they could pay for it with lease income from drilling in ANWR.

Nancy, you can’t keep printing “money”, you just can’t.

Fancy Nancy, unless you and your ilk wake the hell up, this nation will be mired in a reality that will make the depression look like a cake walk.

"Many economists have concluded that a second dose of government stimulus spending is required to prevent a broad economic unraveling"

What kind of "economist" is that?

I don't need the government to spend MY money. Just quit taking it and I'll spend it where it does the most good for ME.

Figures the DEMOCRATS are so quick to craft ways to take more of my money and spend it where it does no good to anyone at all.

So the democrats are actually admitting that people keeping more of their own money is GOOD for the economy?

It’s a start. How about cutting witholding rates across the board and making the cuts permanent?

How about cutting taxes? That would stimulate the economy. Changing depreciation rates/terms would stimulate businesses. How about that DumbDumbs?

How are they going to pay for it, just guess, hire another crew of printers over at the Government Printing office, quit printing $10.00 and $20.. dollar bills and concentrate on printing $ 100.00 after all it is just so much paper not backed up by anything. Or better yet bring back the $1,000 bill and fire the new printing crew

ObamaMamma:

“You’re getting $600 - what can you do with that? Not to be ungrateful or anything, but maybe it pays down a bill, but it doesn’t pay down every bill every month,” ... “The short-term quick fix kinda stuff sounds good, and it may even feel good that first month when you get that check, and then you go out and you buy a pair of earrings.”

These people really are idiots.

They were betting the down turn was going to be brief and that by “doing something” they would take credit for turning it around when in fact it meant absolutely nothing economically.

If you want to turn around the economy, turn around energy costs. Energy is the life blood of a modern economy. All production comes from it. Announcing plans to clear the regulatory process for both oil production and nuclear energy would make a huge difference. Basically making it a matter of national security in the short term.

The problem is that the ‘Rats are trapped between their nut case supporters and the American public. They can’t do the right thing by America without p!$$!ng off their real constituency, which is radical nut case Marxists (how America came to have so many of them is worthy of a case study in itself).

They won't mind, they will just blame Bush and capitalism and use it as another excuse to enact socialist and green nonsense policies. And as another reason for isolationist pacifism. They dislike American power in the world and will be happy to preside over its disappearance.

The only mystery is why people vote for any of them...

You must have missed the memo! That’s OK I will update you. They are going to close the tax loopholes for big Oil, businesses and end the Bush Tax cuts for the Rich. That’s how the plan to pay for the 999 Gazillion dollars that Obama is promising!

"pay for it with lease income from drilling in ANWAR"

On federal lands in Alaska, the state gets 90% of the royalties, as opposed to 50% in other states.

Magic Cure,

Raise the interest rate by a half percentage point, lower taxes, drill for oil and quit bailing people out of homes that they bought and couldn’t afford.

"another stimulus package, saying it was likely to include spending for roads, bridges......."

For more info on this do a google news and web search of National Infrastructure Bank.

Also note in the article that 2 of McCain's advisers have differing/conflicting views on infrastructure spending as a stimulus.
