Obama lies.

He has already said that military might is not the solution to the nuclear threat posed by Iran. So our "military" is not stretched too thin by remaining in Iraq.

And what is his proposal for "winning" the "war" in Afghanistan? He plans to cut and run in Iraq. But build up troops in Afghanistan? Or was it Darfur?

That isn't going to solve the stop loss problem.

In Sept the US Military can bring out at least 2 combat brigades in Iraq and give them the home base rotation while putting in 3-4 combat brigades to Afghanistan that have been state side.
We have enough but because of the way the rotations got out of whack we had to wait to surge in Afghanistan.
Obama is trying to get ahead of the curve because he knows that the Afghanistan Surge is going to happen in September with or without his opinion. He can now say that President Bush is mimicking his “plan”.
