As for choices, I will decide on that when the time comes.
On the dialog between Boortz and Barr, the latter's "plan" is nothing more than "amnesty lite". He offers up the usual weak "too many to deport" open borders excuse when he is well aware that a tough enforcement program will accomplish what has been called "sel-deportation". It works. But not without tough and determined enforcement.
For true conservatives, McCain is not an option. For those with more flexible principles, however, he is a definite possibility.
The Libertarian Party has not exactly been strong on the issue of controlling the Mexican invasion into this country, Boortz began.”
Nor has Neal Boortz been strong on illegal immigration over the years. I listed to him for several years starting in the mid-nineties. He often proclaimed himself to be a Libertarian, and I heard him state his position on immigration several times BEFORE the amnesty debates of the past few years. I always disagreed with his position.
Libertarians are almost open borders advocates, at least they were a few years ago. Boortz would say that anyone who wished to come here and work, be self-supporting and obey our laws should be allowed to come here. Meaning, no immigrations laws to prevent such people from coming here.
He’s changed since, and has been a strong opponent of amnesty, and calls the illegals invaders.
