This is a powder keg of race-related problems and monitoring or regulating this program would sadly bring accusations of targeting poor, blacks, and Hispanics as being less than honest when trusted to administer the pot of gold.

The problem with that approach is that it essentially sanctions the activity of groups like ACORN. As far as I am concerned, the left will always portray us as racists no matter what we do or do not do. Basically, we have nothing to lose if we go ACORN and groups like it.

You are right. Going after political corruption is not only the right thing to do, it actually pays political dividends.

Our AG Tom Corbett has done exactly that and won re-election solidly in 2006 when the Donks were sweeping just about everything else.
