Gary Condit had to leave California and is now running a fast food restaurant.

For more on that, google Condit Baskin-Robbins. It seems he moved to Arizona and opened two ice cream shops. But then the franchisor revoked the franchise agreement over non-payment of fees and sued him for continuing to use the franchise name.

The last I heard, Condit had moved to northern Idaho.

I don't think he had anything to do with it. I think all of the speculation and hype over the story detracted from the investigation and that the result was that a killer is still out on the streets. Another unfortunate result is that we now have a more liberal representative in the House who doesn't have near the political clout Condit did.
