ARLINGTON Police are looking for two men accused of kidnapping a woman from a south Arlington Wal-Mart on Tuesday and then robbing her at gunpoint.
The 51-year-old victim was shopping at the Supercenter at 4801 S. Cooper St. about 3 p.m. when she was approached by two men, one of whom asked her for change, police said Wednesday. Surveillance images show the men leaving the store at the same time as the victim. In the parking lot, she approached their vehicle to answer a question, and the men forced her into a silver or gray four-door car, police said. The men left the victim at a nearby home after robbing her, according to police.

It was the third robbery at the store this year, including a March incident in which a woman was run over in the parking lot as two men in a pickup tried to steal a camera bag from her. That incident also happened at about 3 p.m. Police said two men in a white extended-cab Dodge Ram drove up alongside the womans car and grabbed the bag from her grocery cart. The woman was dragged by the truck and then run over when she let go of the bag. She was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The third robbery occurred in May at 12:30 a.m.

The Wal-Mart where this crime was committed (4801 South Cooper Street, Arlington, TX ) is particularly dangerous, despite being in tony South Arlington. They found a dead body locked in the trunk of an abandoned car in the store's parking lot a few years ago. One of my neighbors was narrowly escaped beaten to a pulp by a gang of black thugs there not long ago as well. (They accused him of "disrespecting" them; he was forced to hide in the store as they cruised around the parking lot in their car waiting for him to come out. The store manager and security guard did nothing.) I myself was once approached at that Wal-Mart by a shirtless, toothlesss guy who tried to sell me some "half-wolf" puppies out of a cardboard box he'd set up in the parking lot. And of course this year the store was the scene of the three major crimes mentioned in the story, including today's kidnapping.
Yeah, toothpaste costs seven cents more at the Target just up the street. Totally worth it, too. Crazed, toothless street people and socipathic gangbangers are not allowed to molest the customers at Target.
I stay the hell away from Wal-Mart.
PS - NEVER NEVER NEVER get in a vehicle with a kidnapper; once they have physical control over you, your chances of survival are remote. It's better to die fighting as a free man or woman than to be slaughtered like a helpless animal.
Excellent advice.
In today’s world any victim of a kidnapping is lucky to be alive.
In our area, there have been several shootings in the parking lot that Target shares with another strip of stores, including an IHOP in the past year. I can’t say ours is safer than the local Walmart!
sounds real similar to an incident in my small town in MS that happened last week. a middle-aged lady (a good friend of my wife) getting out of her car in the walmart parking lot was grabbed and shoved back into the car and he demanded that she drive away. she refused and feigned a heart-attack. he shoved her aside and started to drive away himself. she started opening the door to jump out and he began to stab her while still driving. she eventually managed to crawl out of the car and he continued on. she was stabbed in an arm and leg and of course was bruised and scratched but she is recovering. I was amazed that she was so tough, she probably weighs no more that 100 lbs.
the perp is still at large. Somebody tried to use her credit card in the 9th ward in new orleans since the incident.
Yeah, go figure. If there is no perp description...
Now that was worth a chuckle.
