Might not it HELP Obama to be attacked by a tired race-hustler like Jackson? as a way of illustrating that Obama is SO VERY DIFFERENT from the Wrights, Pflegers, Sharptons and Jacksons of the far left?

I wouldn't put it past either of those tools to orchestrate some phony "incident." They're both from Chicago. I've never heard that they're buds, but who knows?

It'll be interesting to see what he said.

That would be my guess as well. This may be Obama's "Sister Souljah" movement. He has been markedly moving away from leftist stances recently, showing respect for military field commanders, sounding like Bill Cosby in haranguing against irresponsibility among African Americans, and voting for FISA today. He may be more adept as such maneuvering than John Kerry, Al Gore, and Michael Dukakis were.

Jesse Jackson’s son was on a Chicago radio station just this morning talking about president Obama. The host had to step in and say, “Uh, they haven’t had the election yet.”

I have to hear what Jesse actually said, but it certainly smells like a set-up.

"My appeal was for the moral content of his message to not only deal with the personal and moral responsibility of black males, but to deal with the collective moral responsibility of government and the public policy which would be a corrective action for the lack of good choices that often led to their irresponsibility," Jackson also said.

He’s “angry” with Obama for demanding personal responsibility. Which makes Obama look tough on freeloaders and deadbeat dads, but gives him the cover for his appeals for massive increases in government spending on “black communities” since Jackson’s already said he’s not doing enough in that area.

Of course, it will look like less of a setup if Jackson calls him some nice nasty names, ones with bite.
