Whoa! There are any number of places he could choose. All we can hope for is that at one of them, he manages to step on a minor appendage and does himself in.

(But don’t get me started!)

Nuremberg *would* be a better fit for him.

It would have been a better fit for him in 1948, before they tore down the gallows.

This guy is such a complete doofus.

However, the good news is that maybe this type of thing will snap some of the Euroweenies out of their infatuation with the Obambi one.

But unless right of center Americans get over their funk ...

I'm waaaay right of center and I'm not getting over my funk!!! I know I'll be funky for at least 4 more years no matter which of these clowns is the next POTUS. But I'll vote for McPain for, as BufordP says, "he sucks less."

I watched part of a program on TV tonight RE: Hitler and the Ocult. I swear to GOD, that nearly everything they talked about, about the people allowing him to just walk away with the government and allow the democratic process to end and the people just did not care!! The crap about how all the people just gushed over him, sounds exactly like this Obamanation crap. Sounds EXACTLY like Obama. My wife was watching it also and she agreed that this was exactly like Obamanation.

Is it appropriate for Obama to request that he be allowed to make a speech anywhere in Germany, or any other country for that matter? That sounds quite arrogant, presumptuous, egotistical, etc, to me.

Has any foreigner(not invited) ever been allowed to make a speech at the Washington Monument?

He is just grand-standing. I hope the Germans are smart enough to see this.

So much Obama Drama that I missed this one...would you mind pointing me the way?

“His bs of calling the UK our poodle didn’t win him any points with the Brits over there and here who aren’t on welfare.”

I heard this on talk radio but thought....nah. Did he really call the UK our ‘poodle’?

This guy has accomplished a couple of things I once thought was damn near impossible. First, he has made me actually nostalgic for Hillary - cankles, cackles and all. Second, he has turned me into a strong fan of John McCain. So all I can say to Obama is ‘keep it up!’, because you might turn out to be exactly what is needed to unite the Republican Party again.

You have just stated succinctly that which I have been too lazy to post. McCain gets my vote. Nobama!

“Barack Obama’s presidential campaign modified a solicitation for donations on its national website Tuesday evening to comply with Minnesota lottery laws after it was informed by a state law enforcement investigator that it was violating state law.”

And tonight, there was a clip with his wife and kids that they did for Access Hollywood - and almost immediately, he comes out and says “That was a mistake...we won't be doing that again”
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25594061/

The point is - he has to reverse just about every thing he says/does. Is this a person to lead the world?

Just imagine had he been president on 9/11?

Barack Obama looks to end Britain’s ‘poodle’ status
Telegraph UK ^ | 7/9/08 | Al Spillius

Posted on Wednesday, July 09, 2008 2:35:17 PM by pissant

Senator Barack Obama is expected to tell Gordon Brown that he wants the Special Relationship to be a more equal partnership when he visits Britain later this month.

Sources in Washington said yesterday that on his first overseas visit since winning the Democratic Party’s nomination, Mr Obama will tell the Prime Minister that he wants to eradicate the impression of Britain being Washington’s poodle that emerged during the Bush-Blair years, after the UK followed the US into the unpopular war in Iraq.

You are mistaken. The inclusion of the indefinite article “ein” totally changes the meaning.

Ich bin ein Berliner = I am a Berliner (jelly doughnut).
Ich bin Berliner = I am a Berliner (native of Berlin).

You spent 4 years as a translater in Germany? Then you really should know better. A German would never use the indefinite article (”ein”) in front of a adjective serving as a noun to denote his city of origin. (Likewise, Germans do not say “Ich bin ein Deutscher.”) Kennedy misspoke; however, what he meant was clear by context.

Interesting. You are obviously more qualified than am I (as a student of the German language) so I defer to you. Another example of how one can fall into the abyss of various stages of literal translation.

My favorite is my male friend who on one warm day told his female German tutor, "Ich bin heiss", and learned that there was a better way to express himself. :-)

Man, read the link I also posted. There’s a contexual meaning to his usage of ein. BTW, it’s translator, not translater.

The story’s dead. So’s Kennedy.
