Canada’s Human Rights Commission: Muzzling Free Speech and Scientology

“Freedom of speech is an American concept, so I don’t give it any value.” Investigator for the Canadian Human Rights Commission

Scientology, the new age "religion" founded by science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard, has a new opponent, scores of anonymous protesters across the web who have aptly named themselves, Anonymous.

Anonymous, with its legions of cyber-warriors, has been busy exposing Scientology's murky past and the inner workings of the "Church", and its practice of "fair gaming".

Damian DeWitt, a member of Anonymous, makes some great points about the "prosecution" of Free Speech by Canada's largest oxymoron, the Human Rights Commission.

[DBKP Library of Stories on Scientology/Anonymous]

In Will Scientology Fair Game Anonymous in Canada's Human Rights Tribunals?, Damian DeWitt gives an outline of Canada's Human Rights Commission, how they began as "informal hearings" for the purpose of protecting "poor minorities but evolved into a major muzzler of free speech.

The Commission has been utilized by proponents of Islam. Such notables who have been prosecuted include Mark Steyn, Ezra Levant, Pastor Stephen Boissoin, and Gerry Armstrong. DeWitt also notes that people with different ideologies have all come to the same conclusion: the Canadian Human Rights Commission has become a menace to Free Speech.

DeWitt hypothesizes as to whether Scientology will eventually use the Commission in what is known as "Fair Gaming", to come after Anonymous, and the effects of such a decision if the Commission were to rule in favor of the Scientologists. After the HRC-Steyn dustup, this is not far-fetched, by any means.

What is "Fair Gaming"?

"“Freedom of speech is an American concept, so I don’t give it any value.”"

That quote is from Dean Steacy, a top investigator for the CHRC. Remember the name of any official that would say such a thing.

Scientology and islam have major differences, and diametrically opposed stated goals.

So you have questions about Scientology...

If you are really anonymous, no one knows who you are.

If they can find out who you are, then you’re not using the right methods of maintaining anonymity.

They invented Mixmaster because of Scientology, as I recall.

“When they came for the Scientologists, I did nothing, but the people who’d come for them wound up brainwashed...”

Thanks AntiBubba.

“It all began 75 million years ago with a galactic federation of planets ruled by the evil Lord Xenu, Fearing overcrowding, Xenu rounded up countless aliens from all those planets and had those aliens frozen. The frozen alien bodies were loaded onto Xenu's galactic cruisers, which looked like DC-8s, except with rocket engines. They were sent to earth and dumped into the volcanoes of Hawaii and other volcanoes. They were no longer frozen. They were dead. "The souls of the aliens floated toward the sky," the president continued, explaining that Xenu had built giant "soul catchers" to collect them all and unload them into a brainwashing facility he had built on earth. "The souls were forced to watch days of brainwashing material that tricked them into believing a false reality," the president revealed. "Xenu then released the alien souls that roamed the earth aimlessly in a fog of confusion. At the dawn of man the aliens found bodies they could grab onto. They attached themselves to all mankind, which still to this day causes all our fears, confusions and problems."
