Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama rejected charges on Tuesday that he has shifted positions on Iraq and other issues as part of a move to the center now that he is his party's nominee.
As he positions himself for the battle against Republican John McCain, the Illinois senator abandoned a vow to reopen the North American Free Trade Agreement, did not oppose a Supreme Court decision striking down Washington's gun ban and said he would support expanding the government's wiretap authority.
Most recently, he signaled more flexibility on his pledge to quickly pull U.S. troops out of Iraq, telling reporters last week he might "refine" his views based on what happens on the ground.

Obama’s iraq policy, change you can believe in
Many on the left are getting whiplash from the Great Flip Flopper.
NO WAY!
How racist to accuse Obama of flip-flopping. Obama is simply ‘refining’ his views by taking positions that are 180 degree different than before.
I wonder how many of the Messiah’s sheep are starting to see through this dangerous idiot.
I wish McCain was a better debate performer. Obama would get destroyed by someone with debate experience, but that isn’t exactly McCain’s strong suit.
And Arab flip-flop or lie?
NO WAY!
Actually, B-HO’s inability to think on this feet gives McCain a decided advantage in any debate. Without his teleprompter Hanuman is lost. I suspect that’s why he only agreed to one debate.
Yesterday his communications adviser said his positions have NOT changed. Never. This morning Claire McCaskill said that Barry has NOT flip flopped on anything. So I guess this is the talking point lie...meanwhile the crew on Fox just sits there saying nothing.
But ...
In a hastily called second news conference, Obama clarified his earlier remarks by noting that you have to have and in-depth understanding of the meaning of nuance to really grasp his current views on these issues. Several of the MSM reporters nodded in agreement and it was clear that there was unanimous agreement that Obama had settled the flip flop issue for good. It was, after all, simply another failed Karl Rove ploy to make His Highness look confused.
Not only listening, obamination, but documenting. It was only Sept. you said:
There is no military solution in Iraq, and there never was, Obama said to a standing-room-only crowd in Ashford's Durgin Center. The best way to protect our security and to pressure Iraq's leaders to resolve their civil war is to immediately begin to remove our combat troops. Not in six months or one year, but now.

Excuse me all to hel*.
The debates are nothing but a dog and pony show run by liberals pitching soft balls to their candidate - who will be primed with the answers.
McCain wants town hall meetings where people, not mods, ask questions that you have to answer "on your feet" -
McCain can do this because he has the knowledge.
the obamination falls all apart without his packaged answers, teleprompters or ear piece link to his puppet masters.
So why don't you rather say "If Obama was a better spontaneous speaker (you did have one thing right: "debate PERFORMER") he might be able to hold his own with McCain in the Town Hall format. But he would get destroyed because speaking from his own knowledge, off prompters, isn't exactly his strong suit."
What do you want at the helm? Someone who can think on his feet and make judgments from experience or a Polished, programed puppet whose strings are pulled by his puppeteers?
McCain MUST debate him away from his cue cards, adoring press and teleprompters!
The way it is going for odumbo by September he will be down 10 or more in the polls
