The people who choose to make smoking an issue, are the same as those who think that his middle name is an issue. Besides Obama likes to say he quit.
Obama is a Marxist. That is the issue. Not his religion or lack there of. Not his middle name, or first, or last, but his beliefs.
I will not be distracted from the real threat and I know that you are not distracted either.
I think the Deputy Obama thing is comic relief and not a statement in any other area.

Obama is a Marxist. That is the issue. Not his religion or lack there of. Not his middle name, or first, or last, but his beliefs. EXACTLY and that is what I am continually telling people. I don't make smoking an issue, except of course when I'm fighting against that specific issue, just as I have done for 20 years.
I don't give a rat's behind if Obama smokes or McCain is an anti, it is a non-issue to me in this campaign. Alas, it is not to many others and that is why I object to the use of that particular photo. I don't want him defeated in November because he's "just another dirty smoker." I want him defeated because he is a Marxist and an enemy of our country and a racist and a liar and etc.........
FWIW, my husband agrees with you on the Deputy Obama thing and also agrees with you that I am over reacting.
On that note I must leave to head for my job as a bartender in a smoker friendly establishment :)
