Obama To Move Acceptance Speech From Denver's Pepsi Center to Ivesco Field (?)
Friends and Fiends at TV Networks | Sources in NY

Posted on 07/07/2008 5:52:40 AM PDT by MindBender26

TV Network heads and suits are scrambling to cover tech issues, logistics problems, and their butts as Obama Campaign is reportedly ready to move his Dem Convention acceptance speech from the indoor Pepsi Center to outdoor Ivesco Field.

The idea would be to convert it from a political convention to a huge "love-in" with 40,000 to 60,000 of the great unwashed there to celebrate, smoke dope, dance, chant, channel the spirit of Eleanor Roseveldt, etc.

Obama's handlers are trying to do something, anything to show he is broad spectrum, not the far-left radical he is, so this is their idea for great speech before huge crown of "ordinary people."

Not confirmed yet, but everyone at network jumping through their butts about it.

Good observation. I am sure that Caroline Kennedy, on Obama’s VP search committee, came up with the idea as part of Obama’s campaign strategy of comparing Obama to JFK and RFK.

Next comes the “Ich bin ein Berliner” moment in Germany. Does this fraud have an original thought inside that pinhead?

Barry’s communications adviser told the Friends that an announcement would be made today...ooooh, can’t you feel the suspense. He also claimed that Barry has never changed on any position during his candidacy...and the Friends just sat there. (rolling eyes)

It just gets better and better. Denver is going to be Woodstock. The news will rave about how green the convention is and how healthy all the food is, how everyone is eating tofu and veggie burgers and it's gonna make the average voter want to puke.

the republicans will have barbecue and SUV's and beer and make the Dems look like fools.

Fox reported that Caroline was part of the package deal to get Uncle Teddy’s endorsement...apparently she wants to get into politics after all.

I’m still a registered Democrat. Maybe I’ll join the Communist party and advertise “our” support for Obama. The fact of the matter is that such backing involves no dishonesty or stretch of the imagination.

It shouldn't matter where and in front of whom he makes the speech if people take the time to read his policies. Talk about your huge if, though.

Dare I suggest another “Operation Chaos” with dittoheads infiltrating the love-in?

Lessee....he’ll have Oprah introduce him, he’ll have Jackson Browne play the national anthem, and at the end of his speech, he’ll ascend to the heavens with a promise to come back in November.

Obama, Messiah.

I don’t think you will have to do that since this years Dem convention will look like a cross between a gay rights parade and a G8 summit protest. There will be plenty of Che flags and Arafat rags and the tear gas will fill the city like an early morning fog.

Sorry, but that is not correct. As I recall and as Wikipedia says that speech was given indoors at Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena where the 1960 Democratic National Convention was held.

For further proof in my pudding go to watch JFK's Convention acceptance speech. That setting is not the LA Coliseum.
