G.I. bill helped put me through St.John’s and truly assisted me in the purchase of our first home. The medical cared sucked beyond belief however. I got better care when I was finally returned to Germany.
Same here - GI bill put me through college.
I’m a retiree, and my health care is delivered pretty much as promised.
My father-in-law has had some good results with VA health care in the last few years. He did manage to get on the list, though, through the DAV organization.
The G.I Bill (Vietnam era) helped me through George Washington University!
