If as Satullo writes, there is a “dearth of public outrage and shame”, then a very large percentage of the American public disagrees with what Satullo has to say. Either that or Satullo doewn’t know what ‘dearth’ means.

I don’t think it’s patriotic at all to complain about the methods used to prevent terrorist attacks against the homeland. Santullo is blind to the fact that he is giving aid and comfort to the enemy by doing so.
As during Viet Nam, the left is trying to disarm America’s most effective tools. The torture and prisoner of war issue is one propaganda front.
