Don’t worry, there’s no shortage of clowns with the VVAW and IVAW types around.

That is creepy enough in life. I've always been scared of clowns.

You should read the comments for the story on SFGate. You wouldn’t believe some of the nasty comments, especially from the libs who try to work politics into everything.

So sad. I remember watching him on WGN. That was fun.

Can we post AP articles now? Did I make a mistake posting one sentence from SF Gate?

The story doesn’t mention The Simpsons immortal take on Bozo, Krusty the Klown.

I heard he resented the use of his stage name to refer to an incompetant or fool. RIP Mr. Harmon aka Bozo the Clown. You made the world a better place.

Krusty is my favorite character on the Simpsons - love the attitude! And his insincerity is upfront and honest. :-)

That's still a Bozo No-No.

I wasn't sure. I know there was the issue with Drudge Retort, but then there were the article from AP claiming that they didn't mean to infer they were suing bloggers for fair use. And then there was the article that they settled. Now I don't recall what the policy is here. I thought JR posted a rant after the Drudge Retort story came out, but I didn't know if it was official policy.
Do whatever is appropriate.

First time I’ve though of it in almost that long. Wonder if my mother remembers.

Clowns are about ready to start making a comeback.
It was funny the first time you heard somebody say that they were scary and stupid, but that's become the accepted view now, so clowns have nowhere to go but up.
Of course, the "neoclowns" of the future will have to be hip and ironic about themselves ...
