Barack Obama's campaign is considering moving his nomination acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention from the Pepsi Center convention hall to Invesco Field at Mile High to accommodate the uncredentialed masses, sources say.
The move would mark a major departure from tradition, but would be in keeping with the candidate's desire to build a large grass-roots campaign focused on "change."
It also would leave behind the multi-million-dollar broadcast studios, media offices and high-tech podium and stage to be constructed at the Pepsi Center.

I think he should address the nation from the summit of Pike’s Peak and hand down some golden tablets with “Obama’s Commandments”
Or if 14,000 feet at night is bit chilly, even in the summer, there are plenty of hilltops in CO where he could speak and show us that he is truly the Obamessiah.
That wouldn’t be the first time he was a mile high.
The Rats are already scrounging for $ for the Convention. They’d have to come up with a lot more to do the stadium propaganda piece. But Soros could chip in, I guess.
This is supposed to be the greenest, most environmentally friendly convention ever. How environmentally smart is it to have set things up at the Pepsi Center, and then have to duplicate the effort at Invesco?
Yep, I agree, just send him to Pike’s Peak and let him hand down his wisdom to us huddled masses.
They could do a torchlight parade afterward, too.
Glad I don’t work for Invesco anymore. I’d hate to be associated in any way with a company that’d associate with him in any way.
Well, I might have four Bronco season tickets for sale.
I think the International Space Station would be a great venue — while standing outside in only the traditional blue suit.
People get the government they deserve. Joseph deMaistre.
And when people become THIS freaking STUPID and inattentive to their freedoms, THIS is the candidate they deserve.

Hurry before some diversity loving (RIGHT!) Obamaniac at YouTube pulls it.
The man has a dangerous ego.
mile high barf alert
However, there may be probs with mile high
the Broncos owner and coach are both well known republicans, and I’m sure they have priority as preseason will be well underway.
I’m not sure what would have to be done to render the place safe for human habitation afterward if the dems big event is held at the stadium.
does the city own the stadium? I think Invesco just owns the naming rights and paid for the name. Anybody know for sure?
Donks would never win another home game. The Bambino effect.
The sheer hubris of a move like this is breathtaking to me. Like you guys said, a real Riefenstahl moment.
