The condensed version of my letter to the editor used by the Washington Post
The Washington Post ^ | 7/3/2008 | Ron Miller

It is obvious to me that reporter Eli Saslow came to our city with an agenda -- to show that only unenlightened racists who believe wild and untrue stories about Sen. Barack Obama could possibly be against the candidate. Mr. Saslow chose an older portion of town with older residents and then ascribed their supposed views to our entire city.

The editor edited out all criticism of the media bias in the story, extrapolating it to a larger claim of just a double standard at play. Also cut out all of the substantial criticism of the Obamessiah.

And the woman who wrote the letter that follows your is apparently unaware that Barack’s father had 2 other wives and he has step-half-sisters and half-brothers from a number of continents. Being born in Hawaii does not mean that all of his siblings are from there. I do not subscribe to any rumor that he plans to bring them to America as citizens. Just setting the record straight on a matter that the WaPoo tried to push.

It would be intersting to have a conservative African American reporter go into certain sections of DC and report accurately on why folks there would be voting FOR Obama. The repsonses would be equally uninformed and equally racist as the cherry picked comments printed in the Post via Saslaw. Of course, they’d be from the PC point of view, so acceptable. ‘course it ain’t gonna happen.
