I have heard that claim, but every time I have tried Dunkin Donuts coffee it is just weak and flavorless

2 things to try: DD’s Turbo Hot (a shot of espresso in regular DD’s), and believe it or not, McDonald’s now that they’re using better coffee and a darker roast. Also, if you take it regular, DD’s uses a lot of cream and sugar; if you ask for a little less the coffee taste doesn’t get covered up.
