Direct corruption aside, it may also be true that politicians are "safe" borrowers in that they are pretty much set for life financially based on the perks that Representatives and Senators get after they leave office. As such, lower risk can yield a lower rate.

That said, of course this is fishy, and totally consistent with Obama being noting more than a third-rate hack politician from the Chicago machine.

First, I don't believe there were “no points” to buy down the interest. To get anything under 6% would have probably been at least a half point.

This scandal needs daily coverage. The drive-by’s who are 99.9% in the tank for Obama need to be held accountable for not making this headline news. If (and it isn’t likely that this won’t stick to him either) they don’t do their jobs, we need to keep the buzz going on this. McCain needs to be beyond squeeky clean and Obama gets away with this stuff. Getting help from a now-convicted felon Tony Rezko is just as bad and you won’t hear about that from the drive-by’s either. This is something that the McCain campaign needs to latch on to and not let go.

I see Obama's friends in the media paying scant attention to things like the connection between Omama's whopping raise in return for her husband getting her employer about a million dollars through the senate, while they send us off chasing our tails on piddlyass things like a couple tenths of a percent discount on a loan that probably anyone with an excellent credit rating and their income and job security could get.

There's a pile of red meat rotting away on the table, while the media has us scratching in the dirt for maggots.

To all my freeper friends out there...I desperately need some help.

Yesterday, I sent out an email to everyone in my address book the link to Obama’s website:

so they could see for themselves the support he has of the Marxists, etc. But today a couple of them have emailed me back with problems getting into the link and they are sent to a link that says they are being hacked or something. Now, I put that link on here (FR) yesterday and it goes straight to the site...but from the email...things are a little fishy... does anyone know if this could be some of the Obama team’s ways of shutting down “rumors” through email? I know they were pretty desperate at one time...
