EDITOR'S NOTE: This story appeared on the front page of The Washington Post on Monday under the headline,"In Flag City USA, False Rumors About Obama Are Flying." It was also distributed to 669 news organizations in 56 countries, including The Courier. An editorial and related letters to the editor are on Page A4.
Findlay is a Republican town, we voted for Ken Blackwell (African American, Republican) over Strickland for governor in 2006 55% to 42%.
Of course the liberal media is going to blame Obama’s defeat on “false rumors.”
There are no false rumors I know of.
“When people on College Street started hearing rumors about Obama who looked different from other politicians and often talked about change they easily believed the nasty stories about an outsider.”
Why do I feel like I am reading a kindergarten text?
Poor Jim. Poor poor Leroy. Small town folk are easily tricked by bad people hiding in garages and hair salons. Don’t you want to know things? Some people are different. Change can be good. Don’t you want to be the kid on your block who Hollywood will praise for having an open mind? Be like Jim and listen.
This article reads like a parody of a sleazy, manipulative reporter. The portrayal of the people in the town, especially on the particular street, must have really angered the people portrayed.
The reporter obviously thinks he is so much smarter than the folks he is writing about. Damn elitists.
Judging from the preachers who appear at the "church" he attends,he's far more likely to be an atheist than a Christian.
...family man....
yah...his wife, despite having degrees from Princeton and Harvard, only developed a sense of pride in this country a few months ago.And we know this because *she has admitted it*.
...with a track record of public service.
Fixing parking tickets is a town called Springdale (or is it Springville?) and then starting to run for the Presidency on your first day in the US Senate doesn't even come close to qualifying as "public service".
Take the truth, turn it upside down, and the sheeple will believe it. The MSM is so in the tank for the obamanation that they'll embark on this egregious kind of a misinformation campaign...straight out of the Communist Party handbook
This is getting truly bizarre

MichaeL Medved took the Obama team to task for having their own lies and smears on the Obama website.
They disavow ANY mulsim studies by Barack Obaam which by his own writings and interviews is just false revisionist history.
Barack studied the koran. No, not at a Madrassa, but he studied the koran and says he got in trouble for goofing off in that class. He also recited the opening of the Islamic call to prayer and called it one of the most beautiful sounds to hear at sundown.
Those who deny basic facts about Barack’s background are LYING and those who attack those presenting those facts are SMEARING the opposition.
Barack Obama’s Kenyati relatives claim he was born, not in Hawaii, but in Kenya.
His own sister publicly stated in an interview that the whole family is Muslim. In addition, there is no record of his ever having been baptized. His brothers are all Muslim.
His white grandmother is being held incommunicado in her home in Hawaii. Barack Obama will not allow any member of the media to interview her. Why?
His own autobiography, Dreams of My Father, reports that he attended Muslim religous schools where he studied the Koran and Haditha.
I’m not missing a thing. The MSM is in deep deception mode for Senator Obama.
Obama was not sworn in on a Koran, that was Ellison.
Obama did not study at a Madrassa.
He was however enrolled as a muslim student at the Catholic school and studied the koran as a youth.
Another detail omitted by the Post and Obama site, it was a Hillary campaign staffer who got caught forwarding the email.
I still contend that it is easier to blur the history of all of the details about Obama’s muslim heritage if someone just adds a few strawman false details to a convincing list.
Since his mom was an atheist and his fathers were non-practicing muslims, who took the time to get Obama baptised as a Christian and raise him in a faith that neither of his parents believe in?
AKA, anything that is the truth.
“false rumors.
AKA, anything that is the truth.”
Exactly

Wonder if this is a deliberate attempt to further promote those rumors.
Why would they characterize them as “false?”
If “false rumors” are enough to sway them, wait until they find out the TRUTH about Obama! Oh, boy, is that Marxist in for it then!
Which "false" rumor?
That "Barack" is the anglicized version of buraq, the horse that bore mohamed to heaven in a drug induced dream, morphed into a real event by the intellectual muslims?
That "Hussein" was his given middle name by mistake? It was actually intended to be "Nelson?"
Or maybe that Obama, the family name was really O'Bama, an Irish ancestor?
What?
