Those type think citizens are not to be trusted period. His type is the local police chief who just has to have those Red Light Cameras as a tool. One in my town wasn't satisfied with that he wants a candid camera van to snoop on persons. Not all but many in law enforcement after rising above the rank of Captain seem to take on an overlord attitude. It's not just guns these type are completely paranoid control freaks.
