How to explain the reaction of Obama?
It is surely the power of the Jewish lobby which explains the issue. Some scholars said that they control over 50% of TV and national press; their elites are one of the profiteers from war and its privatization; they control almost 40% finance speculative business (they are behind the auction houses by banks, foreclosure), but these are all speculations, there is no exact figure on the matter. What the Jews have admitted is that 40% of funds donated to Democrats in the primaries (especially the lady Hillary) came from the Jewish lobby. If this is so, Obama's speech at the Jewish lobyy in AIPAC was not free from corruption. [Financial contributions from Jewish donors account for as much as 20 percent of Republican campaign funds and as much as 40 percent of Democratic funds, according to a recent article by the Forward, the largest nationally circulated Jewish newspaper in the U.S.]. But why kneel to them, why to sell the conscience for a fistful of dollars? Why not request the democratization of the media and the mobilization of people against the auction from their homes by predatory banking?.

The Obama campaign has proven itself capable of finding and getting rid of overt anti-Obama material within two days. This comment has been at the site for three weeks. Now that it has appeared at Free Republic, Obama will doubtlessly "disappear" it the way he "disappeared" Jeremiah Wright and Michael Pfleger from his testimonial list, so download the page and take screen shots while you can.
Re: "mobilization of people against the auction from their homes by predatory banking"--yes, I can just imagine the Jewish moneylender Shylock demanding his pound of flesh. This material was sanctioned (tolerated) by Barack Obama's official campaign.
Is there a Jewish Lobby? Is it powerful? Does it actively participate in fundraising? Does it try to influence foreign policy?
I believe answer to all 4 questions is Yes.
Nothing illegal or wrong, just that it is what it is.
Of course the answers are all yes. And likewise to the question "will the Jewish Lobby support Barack Hussein Obama over John McCain?".

Americans can learn from the Jewish American community. Jews represent about 7 percent of the US population. Since half of the eligible voters do not register and typically half of the register voters do vote. That means out of 100 Americans, 50 register to vote and about 25 actually go out and vote. In a close election the winner needs about 13 of the 25 active voters. If half the Jews in the US register to vote, and 8 of the 10 register voters go out and vote, that means they represent 2.5 voters of the 25 voters. If you can get 90 percent of the 2.5 voters to vote for you, they represent 2.3 voters of the 13 needed to win a close election or the Jews would represent about 15 percent of your winning coalition. The secret to Jewish American political power in US election is massive voter participation while the rest of Americans sit dumb, fat, and ignorant. Observe what Arab Americans are starting to do in their enclaves, they are studying and replicating the Jewish model. Their numbers are growing faster than Jewish numbers. Be interesting to see how these two groups attempt to influence US policy in Middle East and towards Islam.
All your points may be correct, but they fail to answer the basic question-—why do Jewish voters so heavily support left-wing causes, which, at bottom, are antithetical to their own interest. You can bet that Obama is NOT going to be as strong a supporter of Israel as McCain.
