I say that you are acting like a little coward not addressing me but speaking about me behind my back.

Are you a Westboro Baptist?

HOW DARE YOU!

You dare bring FACTS into this discussion!

You sir are a fool, a basher and a liar, your facts, despite their obvious proof, mean nothing to my rants...

Ed Decker, the so called Christian, who made the films was excommunicated for adultery and beating his wife. He lied about that and claimed he left the church for Doctrinal reasons. But the court documents from his divorce prove he was lying as he admits there to beating his wife and committing adultery. His movies are so Michael Moore-ish propaganda trash that even other prominent anti-mormons criticised him for it. Its too bad so many have been fooled by this wolf in sheeps clothing.

Wiki- Ed Deceker

Criticism

Decker's work has attracted criticism not only from Latter-day Saints,[5] but also from religious scholars of other faiths,[6] as well as other critics of the Mormon faith.[7] Decker's former associate, Dick Baer said that, "Ed has a penchant to sensationalize, embellish on facts and center on bizarre issues to try to shock people."(February 25th 1993, Salt Lake Tribune). Jerald and Sandra Tanner and Bob Passantino have said that his writings grossly misrepresent Mormonism, and thereby dilute his message and offend Mormons without attracting them to evangelical Christianity. The Tanners, themselves prominent critics of the LDS Church, have noted what they contend are inaccuracies and errors in some of Decker's works.[8] When Decker was denounced by Jerald and Sandra Tanner, he went so far as to accuse them of being in the pay of the LDS Church and even of being "demonized" themselves. Decker and his associates offered to exorcise the Tanners' demons, and expressed great sadness when they refused.[9] Ed Decker has also co-written a book with Ron Carlson called 'Fast facts on false teachings' which deals with various 'false systems' of worship including Roman Catholicism, Mormonism and the Word of Faith movement. It contains no footnotes or bibliography with no way of knowing where their information was sourced. It claims that in Latin America, the Catholic Church has Mary rather than Christ on the cross (p227) which is in fact Santa Liberata, a martyr who was crucified.

BTW, I've met Ed's first wife. She is a nice older gal. Her kids from her later marraige are around my age (Gen X). I met her at a marathon after party. Her daughter ran in it. She finished way before me, humbling, but hey I finished no shame in that. But Anyway. Her version of the story along with the divorce records which are part of the public record is pretty accurate.

Hmmm heres an interesting link. The plot thickens. Ed Decker went to Chile and promoted lies about the LDS church when his son from his first marraige was serving his Mission there saying his son was really a CIA agent. Not long after LDS churches started getting bombed and LDS missionaries killed by chilean communists who claimed the missionaries were really CIA agents. He was not directly involved of course in the bombings but it is the equivalent of the Muslim world's take on terrorism.

More info. on Decker here.

ED DECKER: MAN OF GOD or godless con-man? (by Darrick Evenson)

Copies of the Court records and an affidavit from Phillis Decker (his first and only Mormon wife) are reprinted in They Lie In Wait To Deceive volume 4.

I saw the divorce record years ago online but the link I followed is old. They are probably online stil as well.

Dr. Walter Martin, writer of Kingdom of the cults. lied about having a degree and the nature of his degree. (ie a mail order from a Diploma Mill.) He also lied about the fact that he was descended from Brigham Young which he is not. Ask yourself this. Why do the biggest anti Mormon propogandists keep getting caught lying to try to malke Mormons look bad?

Walter Martin's take on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is about as accurate as Michale Moore's take on the US Healthcare system.

>>The worst things ever said about the mormon church were said by their own leaders

You do realize that in Bible Jesus says those who come after him will do greater works than he. Jospeh Smith's sermon was a reference to that passage. Before condeming the words of Joseph Smith you oughta google your Bible text.

Lets play a little game. Can you find the Bible reference where Jesus says essentially the same thing?

That's an important memorial to the Mountain Meadows massacre. Now for the sake of obejctivity can you reproduce an image of the Memorial at the Winter Quarters burial site of the 500 Mormons (most aged 0-5) who died as a result of the forced Winter Exodus at the gunpoint of local Protestants? (hint it's by Omaha)

Or how about a photo of the gravesite of Joseph Smiths infant son who was killed by a mob (including a local Baptist miniter) when they tarred and feathered Joseph Smith?

Perhaps "pro-life" back then meant only in utero. The infants were fair game after they were born.

>>>>and has existed uncreated,

Do you believe in Sola Scripture? Because "Ex nihilo" is found nowhere in the bible. But it is found among secularist Greek Philosphers and was later adopted by the Church centuries after Christ. The Big Bang theory (something out of nothing) is just the secular version of the original Greek secular philosophy that has been filtered down through religion.

You list a number of shocking charges against Dr. Walter Martin. Now, can you prove those charges? And who are those “biggest anti-Mormon propogandists who keep getting caught lying to try to make Mormons look bad”?

>>Ah, you wouldn’t be Mormon, would you?

Mormon was a man who lived over a thousand years ago. Sort of like if I called you Moses or Abraham.

I am a baptized member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I'm Christian, as in, I believe in Jesus Christ as my Savior and Reedemer and try to follow his teachings.

And I'm a "Saint" as it is used Biblically, ie. a follower or disciple of Christ who calls upon Jesus. In Christ's time Christians were called Saints. At Antioch in AD 43 they came to be referred to as Christians.

1 Cor 1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

Acts 11:26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they aassembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

I am a Christian that follows the teachings of Christ and the Apostles as they were in their time. As far as the post Apostolic period however I do differ from "Orthodox" Christians who added such Greek secular philosophies such as homuosis, ex nihilo and Trinity to the simple words of Christ.

Yes...I do:

Micah 5:2 (New King James Version)

2 “ But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting.

Do you believe in Sola Scripture?

Christ being God, and uncreated, has nothing to do with Ex nihilo, which pertains to creation.

>>>You list a number of shocking charges against Dr. Walter Martin. Now, can you prove those charges?

Google can be your friend.

Lets see...

Results 1 - 10 of about 253,000 for walter martin diploma mill. (0.45 seconds)

A large part of this controversy stems from his use of the title "Doctor" at least as far back as his mother's death in 1966, which was long before the founding of the correspondence school which he claimed had awarded the doctorate. California Coast University was founded in 1973 under the name "California Western University", but lost a name-infringement suit in 1981. The school was identified as a diploma mill in official GAO Special Investigations Report (# GAO-04-1096T) which stated that the school provided degrees upon payment of a flat fee. It has since become accredited to award undergraduate degrees, and offers no theological degrees whatsoever. At the time Martin claims to have been enrolled, institutional officials admit that "[it] is entirely possible that this school offered a degree in Comparative Religion in '76; however, we have no record of this" (Welty 1981, in Brown and Brown 1986:52). The school now doesn't answer questions about Martin and will not provide access to any existing records of his enrollment, theses or dissertation.

Now its your turn go to google.com type in "Walter Martin descendant Brigham Young" and see what you find.

;-)

Yes...you do differ - by the addition of the writings of a convicted, and known, peep stone utilizing con man.

"Uncreated" is another word not found in the Bible it grew out of metaphysical debates of the secular Greek philosophers of the time. Christains in the 3rd and fourth centuries wanted to be able to rebut and debate the secularists. But in so doing ended up adopting their terminology and tried to explain the simple gospel of Christ using the philosophers words. Eventually by adopting the enemies frame of reference that version started to replace the simple Biblical text. That's how sexular philosophies turned into religious ones and found thier way into Christendom after Chirst. It's sort of like how some southern Evangelical churches have adopted the false Doctrine of Global Warming in an effort to answer the debates of the secularist of today. By adopting the enemies frame of reference they have already accedded defeat and tainted thier own Doctrinal purity.

"Sola Scripture" isn't in the Bible either for that matter. What other unbiblical doctrines do you hold?
