A 17-year-old South Carolina boy on an church outing was killed Saturday when he was struck by the popular "Batman the Ride" at Six Flags Over Georgia. It was the second Batman ride-related death at the Cobb County park.

No one is saying he wasn’t responsible for his death. People are expressing disdain for your, and others, boorish comments about the death of a young man and the devastation it brings to his family and friends.
Decency is sorely lacking in today’s society. Your zeal to prove your hindsight does nothing but take away from said decency.
“It is a hell of a long walk from that park to get a bite to eat.”
Yeah, I wondered about that too. I’ve never been to this park, but at the 6 Flags in NJ you’d die of starvation before you got out of the parking lot. It is pretty much in the middle of nowhere, although there is a Wawa or a 7-11 or something where we’d stop to buy sodas to get the entrance discount. But there is certainly nothing within walking distance.
What is wrong with folks like you in your little world?
Someone screws up and they deserve to die?
What a dick.
I’m very sorry ma’am.
nice post...more cogent then mine.
so far two asshats here and they are both in Texas.
what are you tuff guys eating out there in the land of mean men and nervous sheep that makes y’all so scary..lol
heartless prigs
got kids?
don’t lie now
there are a lot of really nasty mean folks here....and they flock to threads just like this
real bastards boy, always been this way.
JR and his mods should purge these pricks, they make us look worse than conservalites
I’m still up and don’t want to re-visit the stupid statements made by some here. I couldn’t imagine hearing your son got decapitated on a church trip to six-flags. Some don’t care.
I’m so sad to hear that. My prayers go out for you and your son.
Amen.
I’m 50 and have lived a pretty tough risky life at times and consider myself lucky to be here.
lack of compassion over death is fortunately an uncommon reaction amongst most people worldwide
it usually elicits sympathy from almost anyone except jerks
whether they broke the rules or not
i think the first time i saw this here was back in 2001 when some where gloating over a cop shooting a joyriding kid...the cop cried...some freepers thought it was great
impossible to weed out folks with serious issues here
I used to think it was just young folks mouthing off without thinking....but I was wrong...it’s a mindset......
Your not much older than me and I know my generation. This is a stupid tragedy. Happened quite often in different ways across the spectrum. Never did we say he deserved it. Punks.
I have plenty of sympathy for the family. Young men often do idiotic things, but usually survive them. I know I’m probably lucky to be alive. This is a tragedy. Of course, my sympathy for the family is subject to change if they decide to employ some scumbag lawyer in the hopes of securing “jackpot justice” for their loss.
A picture of a decapitated teenager would be more aprapo.
Let me illustrate.
Our thirteen-year-old son died as a result of a driving mistake made by his older sister, our daughter.
Did my son have no "Grace of God?"
Stop blaming God for the accidental deaths of people. God does not selectively choose people to murder as a gesture of his power to give or not give "Grace."
Who would worship such a cruel God?
If you have a thirteen-year-old son who is not killed in an accident, does he have "God's Grace" withheld from my son?
The world in which we live is flawed. It is full of accidents and illnesses that take lives. Our world is governed by laws of physics. For example, people can fall from heights and die because of the laws of gravity.
I do not believe God surveys the world every day and picks people to snuff just because He can.
He allows us to live with free choice in a flawed world. We suffer from both our own wrong choices and from the dangers of illnesses that can destroy us.
" My son was just swept out to sea in Australia and still MIA...my heart just aches...and I am sure there is just aching....blessings and love to these folks!"
What, your son lost at sea? My heavens, that's terrible! I'm so sorry, LADYAK. My dear, I'm adding you to my prayer list and may God hold you close and give you comfort. I only wish I was with you so that I could give you a hug. If you can, please keep us informed. God bless you.
