what I don't get is why in the world would they want to link the “Obama is a Muslim” to the place that is responsible for outing Dan Rather and Memogate. Seems like they would want to link it to a place with no credibility instead.

The increase in those believeing Obama is a Muslim between Nov. 2007 and March 2008 is 62.5 percent (13-8=5/8=.0.625). It was an increase of 5 Percentage Points, but the actual increase in those believing Obama is a Muslim was much greater and a very effective propaganda ploy.
