It just so happens New Jersey is one of the states considering a one gun a month law in addition to all the other onerous restrictions it places on the rights of the state's residents to defend themselves. She had no chance. She's at the pool, watching her kid in a semi public place and he comes up and shoots her. Maybe she could have reached in her bag, maybe she gets a shot off, maybe her kid or someone else's kid takes a round in the face by accident. I'm not saying she should have been a sheep on this but as long as damaged goods like her ex walk the face of the earth there will always be victims of violence especially when just about everyone has even a few moments when they are exposed.
