Allen stalks private citizens, speculates and draws unfounded conclusions from her sleuthing, and Mosk dutifully "reports." They act like a couple of preteens conspiring payback for a MySpace posting.
Excellent point. And if (hypothetically) an unstable Freeper were exposed as a result of Allen's stalking and Mosk's journalistic malpractice, and then took their own life, those two scumbags would not only have not one pang of conscience, they would probably high-five each other and exclaim "one down, thousands more to go!"
People like Allen and Mosk are absolutely without any moral compass at all. Believe that.

[... Allen set her sights on dissecting the modern
version of a whisper campaign, even though experts
told her it would be impossible to trace the chain
e-mail to its origin. Along the way, even as her hunt
grew cold, she gained valuable insight into the way
political information circulates, mutates and sometimes
devastates in the digital age...]
Allen, the “Compartmental Genius”, does not have the
intellect to understand that the predatory main stream
media circulates, mutates and devastates using political
misinformation without consequence.
Why is this not OK for bloggers?
