I’m thinking that the US needs a gap plan for at least 5 yrs ... enough time for technology to catch up. After that, the House of Saud can eat sand because we’ll be selling technology worldwide. Unfortunately, the Dhimmicrats are still more focused on Bush than on solving problems.

Its gonna take a lot longer than 5 years. Remember, you can build millions of oil rigs without any energy from a windmill...but you can't build one windmill without consuming a significant amount of oil. The transition to a non-oil based economy will require 40 or 50 years. While thats happening the oil producers will be able to control how much oil you have (aqnd at what price you'll get it) to build your alternative energy infrastructure.
