Supreme Courtier

Out of 16 major American institutions, Congress ranks dead last in the eyes of the American people according to Gallup. Even HMOs are more revered. If Carrot Top and Joey Buttafuoco were elected to Congress, it would improve the legislative branch’s reputation.

The reasons for Congress’s craptacular standing are too long to list here. But some culprits never get blamed, even though they are hiding in plain sight. Chief among them: the U.S. Supreme Court.

Actually, it’s worse than that! We have one party controlling government - The Do-Nothings. These sycophants, masquerading as public officials, are robbing you and I blind. We must keep driving home this fact - that they are the problem.

I called one of my Do-Nothing Senator’s office and how I could bill the government for the Congress taking money under false pretenses, i.e., impersonating a Congressman.

When President Bush signed the campaign finance reform bill, you knew that was the beginning of the end. It was an abandonment of his responsibilities so profound, it was clear that he was no longer taking his Constitutional role seriously.

I support President Bush on a lot of things, but after that point I no longer viewed him as a reliable man of principle who could be counted on to do the right thing.

I do agree with the constipation commentary, but I believe it endemic of Justice overall, not specifically SCOTUS and Kennedy.

I also don’t believe Congress is not taking themselves seriously as much as they are all too involved in the self interest of goodies for filling their personal bags. Running for Congress seems to be similar to the old how much one can grab and put in the shopping cart in two minutes contest.

Fueled by BS to get elected to office, and fueled by BS for their shopping tenure.
