June 26, 2008 -- Little dogs -- think Chihuahuas and Dachshunds -- tend to be feisty, while certain breeds, like Golden and Labrador Retrievers, are as mellow as their reputations suggest, found a new study that identified the most and least aggressive common dog breeds.

Not sure many cats would agree with you. Usually known for not being friendly with cats, although I'm sure there may be exceptions.
The next door neighbor had one of those, great dog. It was not feisty that I remember, incredibly brave, yes.
Before we got the property walls up she was forever raiding my yard and stealing my Pit Bull's raw-hide bones. The funny thing about it is that no one (neighbors or us) caught her in the act, and we were watching! I think she was just too low to ground to be noticed! Mother Nature's stealth at work!
They took her to the vet one time and the doc said, "Too Fat - diet time!" So they cut back on the dog food, no table scraps, etc. Pretty soon they noticed that all their grapes were gone - up to about 18" inches off the ground.
Cool dogs!
"Hey, mom, will you come tell big sister to let go the squirrel?"
(I love posting them. My dogs are great girls and I love showing them off.)
I have a Shiba Inu mix. What the mix part is, we haven’t been able to figure out. We thought Basinji, but both dogs are small and mine weighs in at about 45 lbs. Her fur is smoother than a shiba’s, she has a black tongue, curled over the back tail and had to be taught how to bark, she makes huffing sounds but rarely right out barks. She’s very smart. It was very easy for this novice to train her.
I’ve been around thousands of dogs over the years and the only ones that have ever kept me at bay were a chow and a daschund.
How do you post a pic?
Boston terriers didn’t make the list because their methane output incapacitated two researchers and drove the rest from the test site.
To all
I have said this many times.
You get More Hound for the Pound With a Dachshund!
I have one 40 lb Uber-Dachshund, who when he was a puppy was chased into the house by a butterfly.
And a small mini-dachshund (11 lbs) who is the house Dachshund Dictator.
Ohhhh...see what I mean? How sweet. Just so sweet!!!
Too cute. Just too cute.
I used to lie on the floor with my face near my great Yellow Lab when he was eating. He loved his food sooooo much...he brought me joy just watching him.
years ago our mailman told us the “little devil dogs” were his worst fear. Ha,ha. They were ankle biters. :)
Oh Lord...what a beautiful face.
OTOH I love Beagles and while the article says they tend to bite, I have found this is more of a playful nip than aggression.
The article needs to indicate the difference between watch dog and attack dog. A Beagle may make a good watchdog, but instead of attacking an intruder, he'll want to play fetch with him.
Your dogs are just attentive. They look at you just waiting for you to give them some kind of command. Theya re cute. Yes, the yellow puppy is adorable. We got ours at 6 weeks and loved him until he was almost 13 and have missed him every single day. We have another dog now but...each one is unique and can never be replaced. Love your doggies and enjoy them. :)
That’s true. Just made that similar post to someone else. They look up at you just WAITING for your instructions.
Quality might be crummy but the faces are sweet. :)
