Kinda reminds me of the executive at the corporation I worked at a few jobs back, who in response to an issue of someone downloading porn, emailed the entire company (5000+, international), that outside teams would be hired to search every single computer in person to remove all .jpgs, .bmps, and every other image file. Of course no such teams ever arrived, but a retraction email was not sent either. What I would have given to be a fly on the wall when his ignorance was explained to him.
I think that military service should be a prerequisite for holding public office, serving as a police officer and holding the franchise. I think that unless you are willing to put your own tender tush on the line for your society and country, you have no business being able to vote or run for whatever office, INCLUDING dog catcher... or hold any position of power over others.
