No, Illinois in general isn’t bad, but I’m in suburban Chicago and we’ve got more then our fair share of lib whackos and hipster dufus’s (dufi?). You’d think they’d be all confined to the city, but sadly they are not.
Thankfully, we did not get flooded. Some of towns near the Wisconsin border did get hit, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as the flooding along the river.
And thank you so much for your nice words about my story! It was one of those things that if it hadn’t happened to me, I wouldn’t have believed it. :-)

I attended a theatre arts conference at Willow Creek.
If you haven’t been to this church, why not go and see
if you can find manly men? (Personally, Godly men
make me weak in the knees).
Willow Creek has a huge congregation but it has a lot
of micro groups that focus on personal interests. And
of course they are known for their drama. Since you are
a writer (a good writer) ... come on. Give it a try.
