I see her IP page is private, but if the family would like to see it I can post copies to them privately.
I'm sure she would love to share this part with everyone.
I worked in the Pit Booth for over 10 years at a local track. It was the dustiest and dirtiest job I ever had, but it was one of the BEST jobs I ever had! The track is closed now, but for many summers, it was my whole life. We ran everything from Mini A's and B's clear up to the Pro Stocks. Teams would come from all over Maine to race at our track. The Canadian Pro Stock drivers loved to come here.
Every weekend, the pits would be lined with huge beautiful car haulers. It was magnificent!
The general public has no idea of the expense! The price of fuel and the tires alone is mind boggling, and the teams would go through 3-4 sets of tires every week-end. So, the more sponsors they could get, the better for them. And winning was a must!
Another huge expense for a race track is insurance. So, in order to run a track, it takes a lot of money!
I will forever have very fond memory's of our local race track.
