This is horrible. SheLion was one of my all-time favorite freepers. I was on her anti-smoking Nazi ping list but really got to "know" her on a more personal level when I visited the tiny, out-of-the-way hamlet she lived in in Maine for a concert. I freepmailed her for some local "tips" and she was more than gracious with helping me plan my trip. From that time on, her and I shared a great friendly rapport which I can only say about probably less than five freepers.
Today has been such a weird FR day for me. I've gone from being jubilant about the SCOTUS decision to literally having tears in my eyes over this in just a matter of minutes. If anyone here is able to contact family members of hers, please pass along my deepest condolences for an amazing woman.

My hat is off to you for admitting that people can be adversaries and still be friendly at the same time.

Thanks for the ping.
Echoing another Freeper, even though I have never met her, I have lost a friend.
We will miss you, SheLion.

My hat is off to you for admitting that people can be adversaries and still be friendly at the same time. And just for the record, we were almost always on the same side politically. There are aa few other freepers though, who I argue with all the time and maintain friendliness though.

You may want to ping the libertarian list to this. We’ve lost a great advocate of private property rights. :-(

I'm very sorry to hear this. SheLion was a champion for individual liberty and fought valiantly against the control freaks.
God Speed, SheLion. You will be missed.

Oh God,I was thinking of her last night when reading some threads.
God rest her soul——she was a nice person and we had shared some personal Freepmails over the years.
May she rest in peace !!!!!
