My last GM car was a 1994 Chevrolet Cavalier I bought for my wife. She loved it except about a year into ownership, it began to inexplicably leak oil. We took it to three different dealerships and no one could find out why.
We got rid of it and haven’t owned a domestic product since.
I bought a ‘85 Olds, a ‘93 Saturn and a ‘04 Malibu. Also had a Ford Tauras about ‘00. All new. Not one of em reached 60,000 miles without requiring significant and costly (over $1,500) repairs. Bought an ‘06 Camry. Just turned 100,000 miles. Hasn’t needed anything but gas, oil, tires and breaks. I don’t see my mechanic much anymore.
