So what, you want a right not to be offended?
so do i, miggy cabo is on my fantasy team and its close in the standings. he needs to hit a triple and, if possible, post a save. =D
How tacky.
It is a fallacy of liberals to view many things in terms of "rights." Respect and decency are virtues which should be maintained by all, even when one has a "right" to do otherwise.
No... and let's put graffiti over all our national imagery -- expecially if it's advertisements!

Sorry, but getting your panties in a bunch over this is a waste of effort. How in the world you go through life without a sense of proportionality is a mystery to me. No one is painting over the actual statue. No one is making you purchase the trinket. No one is spending taxpayer dollars on the effort. In other words, ‘Lighten up Francis.’
It is the imagery that counts -- because of what that imagery represents.
And graffiti over it is graffiti.
No underwear problems. Just the truth of the matter.
That ad hominem comment reminds me of the man who asked a woman if he would have sex with him for a million dollars and she said, "Yes." Then he asked if she would, for a ten dollar bill and she, her pride insulted, cried, "What do you take me for!"
He replied, "You already told me that."
So just because you have your panties in a bunch about this we should bow down to your wishes, despite the fact that almost no one but you seems to have a problem with this? Not going to happen.
Yeah because nobody has ever used the Statue of Liberty in an ad campaign before, or modified the image for anything.
They aren’t painting crap on the actual statue so they aren’t really defacing it.
Relax dude. It’s not like they’re painting crescent moons on her.
Where have you been? The Statue of Liberty has been used as an advertising gimmick since the day it was dedicated.
That doesn't make it respectful of the Creator-endowed liberties portrayed by the image. It doesn't make it right.
CNN used video of their news ancors reporting from a New York rooftop with people dying in the smoldering WTC behind them. That wasn't right either.
It's not about rights. It's about wrong.
