Obama applauded when corrupt—and currently imprisoned— Republican governor Ryan emptied Death Row, turning murderers loose in an attempt to sweeten a jury pool he assumed would include Black jurors. Ryan was almost successful—one Black juror was foolish enough to tell fellow jurors that under no circumstances would she vote to convict Ryan. Fortunately, this juror had lied about her background on the jury form and was removed from the panel.
