I bet you could host them in a minivan. They’ll never see 20,000.

The same thing happened in 2004. The ‘Rats wanted to camp in Central Park to protest the War during the RNC Convention in NYC. New York promised to arrest anybody sleeping in the park.

After much bluster, the ‘Rats knuckled under, and the sleepovers never materialized. It is a no-brainer. If the police let 20,000 or 50,000 people sleep in the park, it will be a disaster.

Showers? Most of these Tent State folks would run from soapy water! A blind person could mistakenly think they had stumbled upon the Limburger Cheese Festival.

“The hang-up: Overnight camping is illegal in the park.”

Just get a shopping cart, some cardboard and a bottle of ripple. You can camp there forever.

LOL!

Toilets, showers, free lodging and enviro-friendly local restaurants for 50,000 out of control protesters?

Just can’t make this stuff up. This is going to be a very entertaining convention for those of us not in attendance.

Denver has a very big problem.

Typical how they’re wanting to exercise their freedom of speech and assembly, but wanting someone else to foot the bill ie. city provides porta-potties, churches and like-minded Denverites provide showers, police provide security, etc. Seems like they’re always wanting someone else to pay for things that THEY WANT.

The clever mayor who invited this mess : Hick.

The kids will not pay for their food; many restaurants will lose money if they are open during the ruckus.

Thrown out at night, that's going to be tuff. Most of these freaks haven't seen the light of day very often. Entrepreneurial opportunity! Sell sunglasses with pepper spray shields to Denver DNC protesters.

Yeah and I’m sure they’ll be only too happy to leave, RIGHT!

As for food, the group will issue participants a list of recommended organic, enviro-friendly local restaurants.

Remember all you Fat Ass Liberals!....No fried foods!

LOL But I truly hope that there are 200,000 that show up to protest the 'Rat convention.

I'll have popcorn.

Hooboy. I was in Seattle for the WTO riots, that happy group of anarchists allowed in by a similarly progressive (and similarly unprepared) city management. All I can tell you is that soap and water and a good stiff scrub brush do eventually get graffitti off if you don't want to use the harsher stuff. And heavy boots may be prudent wear for awhile until the broken glass clears off. Don't expect ever to use some of the trash receptacles again. Watch out for needles, broken bottles, and (ugh!) used diapers. Do NOT keep a bicycle or anything else outside that you can bring inside. And stay upwind of trouble if you can.

None of that is a joke. Those guys tore the town apart. And the taxpayers picked up the tab for the cleanup and the public defenders.
