I believe the boundaries for the district have been redrawn since Bill Orton won the seat, but I haven’t double checked that, I could be wrong.
Yes!!! Finally something that made me throw up my hands and cheer in this election season. They put up everything to save this guy the last time around and then crowed about how it meant amnesty wasn’t unpopular because he escaped defeat. Nice to see this guy go down just a couple years later.
On anything to do with immigration, Cannon stinks.

Well, Cannon sure wasn’t gracious in defeat. He slammed the delegates at the Utah Republican convention and will now work outside Congress to get things done. I’m like, wait, you’ve been in Congress for 12 years and didn’t have any power? It was a weird interview in the Deseret News.
Having interviewed the man more times than I care to mention, I for one am glad for the change. Sometimes the convention can get it right. Other times, there is too many backroom deals. What Hunstman did to Olene Walker during that convention was a travesty.
Too bad. I think with the statements he made today, his political career in Utah is probably over. You just don’t slam the delegates who are, after all, selected by regular people.
Agreed. I wonder how this will effect his bro, Joe, as Chair of the Utah GOP?
