I wonder if Obama will consider this the same as the racist “sock monkey”... I’m guessing not... Maybe he wasn’t offended because of the old racial stereotype - maybe he was more offended that it mimicked his “god”. ;)

Hanuman also looks somewhat like Hillary, esp. in the thigh and cankle area.
To: CarrotAndStick
Obama’s Muslim friends and relatives shouldn’t be happy that he’s carrying an image of Hanuman. That makes him an idolater and polytheist.
To: gandalftb
There's a fairly large group of aged (and wealthy) hippies in Taos, NM who worship Hanuman, and spent MILLIONS to import a statue of him to their worship center out side of town. In a community of odd and eccentric people, they are considered among the strangest by locals.
John Nichols wrote a satirical novel about them called “Nirvana Blues”, and they blackballed him locally for years. The book is part of a hilarious trilogy, along with “The Milagro Beanfield War” and “The Magic Journey”.
He's a bit of a crank, and a proto-Marxist, but his humor is pretty good.

I knew Hanuman. Hanuman was a friend of mine. You are no Hanuman.

That looks like an image of Kali.
From wikipedia: Kali is “a Hindu goddess associated with death and destruction. Despite her negative connotations, she is not actually the goddess of death, but rather of Time and Change.”

Mine’s already going there in about a month. Seems that there is no import duty being charged on work that is imported through internet “tubes”.

Joke's on them:
Continuing to play the anti-outsourcing card, Democrat presidential front-runner Barack Obama on Wednesday said while America cannot "shy away" from globalisation, it would have to take measures to ensure that jobs are not shipped overseas.
