What IS an evangelical?
They are mentioned all over the media.
I know what an evangelical CHRISTIAN is but just calling them evangelicals is like calling Christmas “holiday season”, a season that conveniently ENDS before New Year’s Eve (the post-holiday sales start on Dec 26th).

Thank you for asking that. I was about to ask the same question. It appears to be used as an all-encompassing word. However, I expect it is used to imply that ALL Christian religions are of the same stripe as the T.V. evangelists, some of whom have been revealed to be the opposite of what they preach.
