I'm a bit confused myself. What evidence is there that Obama wasn't born in the U.S.? That's the crux of the matter. Unless someone can show that Obama wasn't born in the U.S., then arguing over whether this is an offical, certified picture of his birth certificate is pointless. If he was born here, then he's a natural born U.S. citizen. If he wasn't born here, then where was he born and what's the evidence supporting that?
It sounds to me like these questions need to be answered by Obama, not us. McCain is proving his citizenship in court. The same should hold true for Obama.
The campaign has released an unofficial copy of his birth certificate. Where did they get it?
This is Rathergate all over.
Besides the testimony of three of his close relatives, there is the fact that none of the hospitals on the island have a hospital birth certificate for him on file. This is the document from which the original official birth certificate would have been prepared. I would contain the attending physician's signature, and the foot print, along with the other pertinant data shown on the federally required tamper proof certificate shown on these threads.
Also, in 1961, his father's race would have been noted as "negro."
