ABC News' Christianne Klein reports that at a breakfast with Republican insiders at the Capitol Hill Club this morning, former White House senior aide Karl Rove referred to Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, as "coolly arrogant."

"Even if you never met him, you know this guy," Rove said, per Christianne Klein. "He's the guy at the country club with the beautiful date, holding a martini and a cigarette that stands against the wall and makes snide comments about everyone who passes by."

The thing is, most guys on the Internet -- if they're honest -- are the ones "standing against the wall and making snide comments about everyone who passes by." And what's Rove doing with these snide comments himself?

So a reporter is reporting on what another reporter said she heard Rove say. That Karl really aims to please; there’s red meat here for everyone.

He called Rev Wright a friend and mentor and was with him for 17 years, then threw him under the bus for political expediency, after ‘the speech’ where he refused to do exactly that and was praised to the skies for it.
