I think it is because we don't need to be peeled at all! My brother had to kill two of them (I will not tell you his name or when but it was at least 15 years ago) when they attacked him, luckily he was carrying a Browning 30-06 auto and was able to take them both down but not without a few marks of his own. Before they stopped hunting in CA we had no fear of them, now we watch like a hawk when we are in the woods. We meaning anyone with a drop of sense that goes out in the woods.
