McCain came to us via the primary process. The last time I heard this was a democratic process.
Ha. The primary process was front-loaded with liberal states and crossover states. McCain was basically nominated by trouble-making Democrat crossovers.
Who was responsible for this frontloading, which fatally biased the process?
The state parties are responsible for running their primaries. But the RNC overlooks the process, and will interfere if any state party tries to change the date of their primary--as we saw with the DNC and the Democrat primaries in Florida and Michigan. In other words, the party pros and the RNC were responsible for nominating a RINO. That set the process up that way because that's what they want. By the time most conservatives got to vote, it was too late.
True. A democratic process. Lots of crossover votes, or so I've been told.
That's part of the problem, the Democrats and Independents that crossed over and gave McCain wins and momentum. It should have been a Republican process, not a Democratic one.
If the Principled Conservative Thumbsuckers don't get their way, they consider the process illegitimate.
